TE DEUM CHORAL SCORE HASSE BANNER (451044R ) (Cantatas )
During the 18th century, the reputation of Dresden composer Johann Adolf Hasse rivaled that of Handel. Hasse's "Te Deum," with its syncopated rhythms and scoring for horns, Trumpets, Timpani, oboes, and full strings is an excellent example of the brilliance and musical excitement of the German Baroque. Set in three movements, the middle for solo quartet, the"Te Deum" offers advanced high school, church, community, and college level choirs a new and exciting alternative to the more familiar works by Hasse's contemporaries. This edition is based on an authentic 18th century manuscript located in the Staats bibliothek Preussischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin.
